How Utah was settled: Grid System (Each block in the grid was split into eight housing lots, farms were outside the main town squares). The other issue is where they started settlements: This is illustrated in the spoke wheel settlement below, all the towns were meant to be about 50 miles from the last one.
Other Issues: Mormon Battalion, Handcart Companies, Proposed State of Deseret, Perpetual Emigration Fund, Foreign Immigrants, Crickets Infest Utah and other stories.
